1 Samuel 19:6-8

⁶ Saul listened to Jonathan, and promised, “As the Lord lives, David will not be killed.” ⁷ Then Jonathan called David and told him all these things. He brought David to Saul, and David stayed with Saul as before.

⁸ When there was war again, David went out and fought with the Philistines. He killed many of them, and the others ran away from him.
